Adams is a farming town of 121 people in northeastern North Dakota, reached via US Highway 81 north from Grand Forks then west through Grafton. The area's flat wheat country experiences harsh winters and warm growing seasons. Most long-distance visitors come from Grand Forks (45 miles) or Fargo (2 hours south). The town still operates one of North Dakota's few remaining one-room schoolhouses.
