Achille is a tiny farming town in southeastern Oklahoma, about 15 miles northeast of Durant via US Highway 69/75 and State Highway 22. With fewer than 400 residents, it sits in rolling prairie country near the Red River valley. The town started as a railroad shipping point in the early 1900s when the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad came through, establishing its role in local agriculture that continues today.
