Absecon is a small city in Atlantic County, about 12 miles northwest of Atlantic City and 15 minutes from Atlantic City International Airport. Take Garden State Parkway Exit 40 to Route 9 south, or approach from the west via Route 30 (White Horse Pike). The city sits between the Pine Barrens and coast, making it a convenient base for exploring South Jersey. It's home to New Jersey's tallest lighthouse at 171 feet.
