Aberdeen is a small farming town in southeastern Idaho, about 20 miles west of Pocatello on US Highway 91. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 86 (Exit 36), with longer routes connecting through I-84 from Boise or Salt Lake City. The town sits in prime agricultural country along the Snake River Plain, surrounded by potato farms and cattle ranches. Aberdeen's Fun Days festival each July features a unique cardboard boat race on the local irrigation canal.
