Abbott is a small farming town of 470 people in Hill County, about 20 miles north of Waco via Highway 77. Take I-35 to Exit 353, then follow Highway 77 north through rolling prairie farmland. The town sits in typical central Texas agricultural country with hot summers and mild winters. Willie Nelson's boyhood home operates as a museum on the main street.
