Abbeville is a small town in southeastern Alabama, about 25 miles northwest of Dothan via US Highway 431. The town sits in Henry County's agricultural heartland, surrounded by cotton fields and pine forests typical of the Wiregrass region. US 431 provides the main route through town, connecting to Montgomery 90 miles north and continuing toward the Florida border. The 1903 red brick Henry County Courthouse remains the centerpiece of downtown.
